Fennies Horley

As part of an exciting new brand identity for Fennies Nurseries, we were tasked with transforming the reception area at one of their oldest nursery sites to create a feature welcome space to radically improve the first impression for parents and visitors.

The existing space was cluttered with loose furniture and the low ceiling made the room feel small and cramped. We were also tasked with creating a small kitchenette and flexible working space for parents arriving early.

A unique reception desk with plywood storage units provides a welcoming focal point to the nursery which is functional for the staff and helps to create more private working and storage spaces. The desk was designed with children in mind; the ribbed surface texture is tactile and engaging in contrast to the smooth Corian desk surface. The newly vaulted oak batten ceiling creates a stunning feature upon on arrival and also adds another elements of warmth to the interior.

The project was the first in the development of a new architectural and interior brand for Fennies and we are now working closely with them to transform their existing and future sites.
