Fennies Eltham

As part of our continuing relationship with Fennies Nurseries, we were tasked with transforming a tired former care home building into a high-quality nursery school with four inspiring learning spaces and impressive facilities for staff and parents.

The existing building, divided into small self-contained ensuite bedrooms and separate living rooms, had a disjointed collection of previous additions to the main Victorian house. Our greatest challenge lay in replacing these structures with a new, coherent extension which would provide additional floorspace in the form of contemporary learning spaces.

The new nursery is fun and engaging, filled with natural light through carefully placed rooflights and large glazed doors which connect the learning spaces seamlessly to the garden. The extension is clad in timber to bring a natural finish which warm and tactile for small hands.
