Making the most of a backland site with tricky access to create 15 new family homes for the Local Authority.
Practice Director Jamie Campbell was project architect for the design and delivery of this project during his time at Bell Phillips Architects.
The development comprises 15 houses arranged across a former youth centre and ball court site. A row of new houses to the main access road created a street presence for the development and the angled pitches of the roofs gave a strong sense of identity to the scheme. A side access road leads to the rear of the site which provides access and parking to the other houses on the scheme. There is a mixture of 2 and 3-bedroom houses which each have a parking space and their own private gardens.
