A brick extension with a planted roof and new terraced landscape transforms a flat in Shepherd’s Bush, adding value by creating generous open-plan living spaces connected to the garden and an additional ensuite bedroom.
We were approached by the clients to create an extension to a lower ground floor flat, both to improve the access to the garden from the living space and provide an additional bedroom. We designed the extension to connect the new open-plan living space to the terraced garden both visually and physically. A large rooflight over the dining table brings natural light deep into the kitchen. The garden is designed to provide two separate seating areas for different times of the day and generous planting for privacy.
